The 3,000 square foot Showroom and Furniture Gallery, completed in 2009, was designed to help customers see Everhart Lumber Company's wood products in a finished form. Looking at a two-foot sample of flooring just doesn't compare to looking at a room-sized area of installed wood floor. The gallery also displays Everhart's growing line of exceptional quality, reasonably priced custom made furniture, in inviting room settings. Most importantly, the showroom is an inspiration for discovering creative uses of beautiful wood products available through Everhart Lumber.
The floors, walls, and ceilings of the Everhart showroom display an amazing array of wood products. Showroom visitors can see finished flooring in walnut, red oak, pine, quartersawn oak, and mixed Appalachian hardwoods of hickory, maple, sassafras, and others. There's a variety of wood paneling on the walls, including cherry, ghost wood, and pine wood paneling, as well as unique applications of kiln-dried poplar bark. Massive Douglas Fir post and beams are displayed in the showroom in various sizes and lengths, illustrating the beauty they add to a building interior, and decorative non-structural ceiling beams are also shown with a special aged-look. |

One area of the showroom is devoted to unique Wood Mantels. When the wood experts at Everhart come across wood products with lots of character and unique features, they set them aside to be made into distinctive mantels. The mantels are available in gamut of species types, lengths, widths, and finishes. Mantels from antique reclaimed lumber are also made, with hand-hewn surfaces. Each mantel is ready to be put into a home and has its own story to tell. The company's wood product specialists will be glad to share their knowledge about each of the mantel pieces.

The Everhart showroom is a gallery of custom made furniture and other decorative wood items, particularly suited for rustic and log homes, cottages, and even contemporary homes. Furnishings for every room - headboards, dressers, sofa tables, side tables, coffee tables, dining tables, islands, bars, blanket chests, church benches, and more - are made in Everhart's on-site custom furniture shop, from unique woods, locally harvested wood, and reclaimed lumber. See the creative details close up, like uneven bark edges on a hickory dining table, peeled log legs, antler draw pulls, poplar bark insets, rough-hewn wood finishes, rhododendron spindles, and more. The showroom becomes a jumping-off point for individual custom furniture; Everhart works one-on-one with customers to create unique pieces of furniture or cabinets, designed to the specific sizes and needs of the individual. Love the hickory dining table in the showroom, but need one longer and narrower? Would the church bench work better for your hallway if it were twice as long? Everhart's wood craftsmen can build it for you. Other custom wood furniture pieces, built by local woodworkers and specialty crafters, are also sold.

The showroom accents the furniture with decorative items such as lamps, pillows, bedding, and mirrors, helping homeowners become their own interior designers. Coordinating upholstered furniture with rustic log-home themes, including love seats and overstuffed chairs, is also displayed for sale. Accessories such as baskets, pillows, blankets, pottery, greenery, and artwork shown throughout the showroom offer inspiration for adding a homey touch to any room setting. One of the most popular items are the various size canoes made from birch wood which create a focal point on a coffee or sofa table. Offered also are wall pictures of wildlife scenes, reproduction rustic signs, decorative wildlife- and country-themed ironwork towel holders and hooks, and other items for the home.
